Roof replacement

Replacement may be needed when roof panels or waterproofing have widespread deterioration, repeated leaks, significant corrosion, damaged layers, or repairs no longer provide dependable performance.

  • Survey and plan: Document defects, check access and safety requirements, confirm the roof build-up and agree the replacement system.
  • Remove failed materials: Strip back to the agreed layer and protect the building while managing waste safely.
  • Repair and prepare: Fix substrate defects, check falls and drains, and replace unsound insulation or deck sections as specified.
  • Install the new roof: Fit panels or membrane, flashings, edge trims, penetrations, and drainage details to approved instructions.
  • Final checks: Inspect seams, fixings, edges, and outlets; document completion and provide maintenance guidance.

Important: Do not assume a new membrane can be installed directly over concrete or an existing roof without checking moisture, substrate condition, adhesion, wind uplift, fire requirements, drainage, and compatibility.
